• To build, maintain, monitor and enhance the uptime of the cloud infrastracture of Maximl
• To mentor and manage a team of devops engineers.
• To monitor and optimize cost of cloud infrastructure
• To work with the backend development teams, to optimize and tune deployments of Maximl’s platforms
• To create processes to make routine DevOps activities predictable and certain
• To actively implement automation of DevOps activities at Maximl
• Should be available on-call to deal with critical issues

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role (preferably, at an enterprise SaaS startup)
• Experience with using Linux as primary operating system (for personal use as well)
• Expertise with bash and Python
• Experience with basic networking and unix networking commands (IP Addresses, CIDRs, route tables, setting up proxies, ssh, scp, curl, netstat etc)
• Should have extensive experience administering (PowerUser or Admin access) any one cloud provider – like AWS or Azure (including services like AWS EC2, DNS, VPC, S3, LoadBalancer, RDS, Redis, CloudFront or equivalent)
• Should have expertise in working with both Docker and Kubernetes – creating docker images and in setting up and maintaining Kubernetes clusters with docker containers
• Knowledge of security best practices for cloud infrastructure
• Experience with setting up and maintaining CI pipelines
• Experience with setting up and monitoring and logging platforms like Sentry/Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, etc.
• Experience with cost control strategies (reservations and cost monitoring)
• Expertise with Git

• Experience with both AWS and Azure cloud services
• Experience with Helm
• Experience with multi-region deployments and Disaster recovery plans
• Experience with at least one IaC platform (eg. terraform, ansible, cloudformation)

• Experience in mentoring 2-3 junior developers
